Wellington Winds Prevail on Day 1 of the 2016 NZ Laser Champs

Strong northerly winds gusting over 30 knots all day prevented any racing on the opening day of the NZ Laser Nationals at Muritai Yacht Club in Wellington. The 92 sailors were held on shore until 3pm when racing was finally postponed for the day with no sign of the winds abating. First race is now scheduled for 11am tomorrow, with an additional race to be included if wind conditions permit.
