Frustration for the Kiwis at the 2010 Radial Worlds in Scotland

The 2010 mens and womens Radial world champs in Largs, Scotland were frustrating for many competitiors including the Kiwis. There was just 1 race sailed in the last 3 days to make 6 races total for the regatta.

Weather conditions ranged from too strong to not enough, with only one truly windy race sailed. Large wind shifts in the light made it difficult to get consistent results, even the winning Finnish women Multala Sari had a drop of 49.
In the womens 57 boat gold fleet Sara Winther was the top kiwi in 29th overall with a best of 6th.

Miranda Powrie followed on 38th - "which on reflection i'm ok with, it was my first
big regatta in a while and it was a very tricky regatta ...  I have learnt a lot and i've certainly learnt to make triple sure that every race counts ..... I'm also pleased that my speed is up there with the best girls in the world

Rachel Basevi was 44th with a best race of 6th which she should be pleased with.

In the womens silver fleet Jessica Barrel was 47th and Catherine Chimney (USA/NZL) 53rd.

In the mens gold fleet Spencer Loxton had 2 distinct regattas, starting very strongly with 7, 9, 8 before dropping back in the last 3 races to finish 33rd overall.

Geroge Lane was more consistend to finish 3 back in 35th.
